What we actually do, and what we haven't finished. We'd rather be specific than reassuring.
Where your data sits
Neo's memory is stored locally on your Mac and encrypted at rest. Each account on the device has its own separate space, and one account cannot read another's projects, memory, research or history. Deleting an account deletes its entire directory rather than a list of files, so nothing is left behind.
What crosses the network
Questions and the context needed to answer them go to our hosted API over HTTPS. Screen, camera and microphone data are transmitted only while you have that input enabled. Neo does not upload your whole workspace.
Permissions
Microphone, screen, camera and email are separate permissions enforced at the source. Active sharing is always visible in the interface with a Stop control.
What isn't done yet
There is no third-party security audit. We do not claim Neo is unhackable or perfectly private — no software is.
